| Architectural Map |
Amsterdam owes its existence to the Amstel and the IJ. Almost 400 years ago, work began on the construction of the famous ring of canals and already in the 19th century the city was an archipelago of more than eighty islands. Not for nothing is Amsterdam referred to as the ‘Venice of the North’. Waterside Architecture is a map with which the city, as seen from the water, can be explored. A map many devotees of architecture and water, perhaps without being aware of it, have looked forward to.
