ARCAM PANORAMA
Amsterdam's architectural history in a single visual narrative
The ARCAM PANORAMA is an informative collage of Amsterdam’s architectural history. This collage (original size 25m2) shows by means of photographs and maps the city’s architectural history, from the moment when a dam was built in the Amstel (c.1270) to the most recent developments on IJburg and the Zuidas. A timeline chronologically structures the story and elucidates the connections between periods, buildings, architectural styles and events, thereby placing Amsterdam’s architectural history in a societal and socio-cultural context.

This publication contains the ARCAM PANORAMA printed in a handy format (scale: 1:6) and a brief accompanying text.

The full-size ARCAM PANORAMA is on view at two locations in Amsterdam. Click here for more information.
