Guest: Christophe Girot (Atelier Girot)
Christophe Girot (Paris, 1957) is Professor of Landscape Architecture at the school of architecture of the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland. His research and education focuses especially on large scale landscape design, for which he develops tools and techniques with the ground-breaking Landscape Visualising and Modeling Laboratory (LVML). Girot is also Principal Investigator at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore and he maintains his own agency, Atelier Girot, which carries out projects in Europe and Asia. Girot’s work was exhibited in 2014 at the Venice Architecture Biennial and the IABR in Rotterdam.
In his contribution to the 1 Lectures series, Christophe Girot presents the newest proceedings of his research with the LVML, as well as recent work by Atelier Girot.
