Henk van Heezick has a special hobby: he likes to build scale models of paper. He is specialised in the architecture of the Amsterdam School and likes to make buildings that have never been realised or that are no longer there.
Such a paper scale model can provide a great deal of insight into the shape and proportions of a building, which is why they are all built on the same scale. By studying many accurate (construction) drawings Henk has succeeded in visualising a piece of Amsterdam architecture that is not (or no longer) here.
Eight paper works of art can now be admired at the Vide van Architectuurcentrum Amsterdam until the end of March 2018.
