1·Lectures | The Act Of Building | Robbert van der Horst


The new  1·Lectures series of the academic year 2017-2018 will be kicked off by visual artist Robbert van der Horst. During his lecture of September 21, he tells about his work in which he explores the essence of building. He designs and builds therefore himself.

With a background in theatre, visual arts and carpenting Robbert van der Horst has created a large nummer of temporary or fleeting structures offering a new perspective on the surrounding landscape. His works can be seen on both remote locations as intensely crowded festivals like Roskilde and Lowlands.

This summer you could stay in his Univers 9 at the Urban Campsite at the Science Park in Amsterdam-East.

Tickets: €5,- (single lecture) €35 (passe-partout for eight lectures and get one lecture for free!)

In addition, tickets can be purchased at the door from 7:30 PM on the evening of the lecture itself (if available). University of Architecture students are entitled to free admission on presentation of their student ID card.
