What will the future bring for 3D printing factory Aectual and what will Schiphol contribute to the circular agenda of Amsterdam? Learn about the best practices of the circular city. Follow the free online lecture on Thursday evening 28 January 2021 at 7pm as part of the exhibition EndLESS Amsterdam.
In the current exhibition ‘EndLESS Amsterdam’ we exhibit samples of the 3d-printed floors of Schiphol by Aectual. Why is this such a good example and how is one of the largest companies in Amsterdam, the Royal Schiphol Group, working on the circular agenda of Amsterdam? In this online lecture we will discuss two influential companies that in their own way work towards the circular city.
- Hans Vermeulen (Aectual)
- Don Murphy (Supervisor Urban Planning )
What started as a start-up for printing a 3d canal house is now a mature company. CEO of Aectual, Hans Vermeulen, talks about the founding and circular strategy of the company. We discuss the application of Aectual at Royal Schiphol Group to make the floors both durable and attractive. After getting acquainted with Aectual, Don Murphy, Schiphol’s architecture and urban development supervisor, will talk about Schiphol’s circular strategy. After both presentations there is room for questions and discussion.
